Creative Constraints as Fuel
• Knowing we had a zero-budget, the core idea was built around believability within limitations.
• Trains became our transit and our sets. Locations were scouted on-the-go — or discovered mid-shoot.
• The visual storyline was crafted around movement and momentum, embracing the natural unpredictability of the city.
Bombay Bounce marked my directorial debut — a raw, instinct-driven music video designed to sync Mumbai’s chaotic rhythm with the track’s kinetic energy. With no budget, a stripped-down crew, and nothing but a vision, we transformed the streets of Mumbai into our set. The city wasn’t just a backdrop — it danced with us.
We shot guerrilla-style over 3 days, moving rapidly across South and Central Mumbai — from the Dhobi Ghats and abandoned railyards to graffiti parks and bustling streets outside Ambani’s residence (from a respectful distance). Our method was unapologetically spontaneous, guided by location scouting and instinct, blending real environments with stylized VFX to breathe life into every beat.
